quote for Feb 2022.
" I'm not sure what the mechanism of freeing ourselves from our own confinement will be. But I do believe that the future is in free-running rivers and snowy mountains and deserts so wide and graceful they make you cry. If I'm right, the purpose of Nevada, where the wild and beautiful are as familiar as day and night, may be to remind the world of the primacy and goodness of wilderness as a moral principle, and of the will of the people to live in it and to glory in it. The future is here.
- Robert Leonard Reid - West, to the Future from Earth, Sky, Invincible Wind in Wild Nevada: Testimonies on Behalf of the Desert.

William - "I like the smell of flowers!"
Images of the Month - Beginnings and Endings
These videos are from my family. William, my great nephew is full of energy but takes the time to "smell the flowers", and has much hope and life ahead of him. Mopsie, my niece Jessica's beloved companion, was euthanized a few days ago because of kidney problems. It is comforting to know that throughout and to the end of her life Mopsie was so loved by her family.
