- One of the hikers on the First Annual Cactus to Clouds Hike in 1993. This hike climbs 10,300 feet in one day to the summit of Mt. San Jacinto.
- Started hiking in her 30's.
- Has done Cactus to Clouds Hike 3 times.
- Hiked Grand Canyon Rim to Rim and Back Again two times (~24 miles each day, losing and then gaining > 5,000 feet of elevation).
- Has hiked Zion Narrows.
- Hiked the jungles in Costa Rica.
- Lifts weights and does exercise classes 5 days per week.
- Philosophy on fitness/wellness: "Gauge your workouts on how you feel. It is amazing how sometimes you get out on the trails, and that is all it takes."
